David Storrie

David Storrie

Investment Advisor , HollisWealth, a division of Industrial Alliance Securities Inc.

A born islander, I moved to Campbell River with my wife in 1971 after previously living in the lower mainland. Together, my wife and I raised our four children here. Today I have ten grandkids scattered all over North America and some even as far away as Germany. I frequently travel up and down the island visiting clients and taking advantage of the many gracious communities that the island has to offer.

Some of my best and most successful achievements have been the many years spent volunteering and working with various groups. I was a volunteer fire fighter in Campbell River for 15 years, a Boy Scout and Venture leader while my kids were growing up and have been involved in a high capacity, including being past Master, with the Masonic Lodge since 1975. I joined the Shrine almost 40 years ago, committing significant time and passion towards the Shriner’s efforts to assist burned and physically challenged children.

While helping to develop my community, I was also developing myself professionally. For over a decade I ran a construction business out of Campbell River working on larger scale institutional and industrial sites. In 1997, I became an Investment Advisor with Midland Walwyn and later moved onto Scotia McLeod. In 2001, I began working for Dundee Securities which was bought by Scotia and renamed HollisWealth, and was later bought by Industrial Alliance Securities Inc. I earned my CPCA designation becoming a Certified Professional Consultant on Aging.

In my practice I employ an individual based approach tailored toward my client’s needs and preferences. Since each person’s story is different, I expect the story of their investments and later retirement to be different as well. Together, we will work toward a plan that will afford you security in your retirement. While your find yourself settling into your new home and searching for local based advice and services, I encourage you to give me a call about your finances today.

“We have been with Dave for about 10 years and are pleased with our dealings. He contacts us but is never pressuring us while making suggestions and is easily accessible for any questions we have. We would recommend him to anyone.”

“I am writing this in support of Dave Storrie and his Investment objectives and advice over the years I have known Dave.

We first met in 1999 and he quickly convinced me to move my RRSP accounts as well as commute a Register pension plan over to his care.

Over the years his track record for growth has been good. He is constantly in contact with me regarding opportunities, and while I don’t always agree we collaboratively come up with Investments that makes sense, and positive gains in my accounts.

I can’t emphasize enough what Dave’s personal touch has meant to me over the years. Prior to Dave I dealt with brokers who’s only contact with you was during RRSP season each year. As well as the nonproductive outcomes from those same brokers.

I have no problems recommending Dave as an investment advisor. He has done well for me over the years I have been involved with him.”
